About ME

Hello Everyone! My name is Andrew Hemstreet, owner and Operator of Hemstreet Fisheries, in sunny Oceanside, California. 

I started fishing when I was 5 years old, fishing off the Local Piers and Jetties with my Dad, and fishing up in Oregon and Washington with my Dad and Grandpa. 

I started commercial  fishing when I was 21, and ever since I have been absolutely hooked. 

I own and operate a Harpoon boat, also known in California as a 'Stick Boat', harpooning & fishing with Deep Set Buoy Gear for local swordfish.

I also fish for other species like Bluefin Tuna, Flying Fish, and our local Rockfish and Cod Species. 

My biggest love is supplying our local community with Sustainably-Caught, Local, Fresh Seafood.

Our local fish is quite delicious, as fresh as can be, and it benefits the local economy and the health of our community.
